Dupatta's

What is a Dupatta?

A dupatta is a long, flowing piece of fabric that has been part of Indian women’s clothing for centuries. It is draped over the shoulders, worn over the head, or styled in different ways to match the outfit and the occasion. More than an accessory, it carries tradition, culture, and personal style.

Dupattas come in many fabrics, including silk, organza, net, chiffon, georgette, cotton, and banarasi. They are decorated with work such as gota patti, mirror work, zari, embroidery, bandhani, and phulkari. A plain suit can look festive with the right dupatta, and a simple kurti can look elegant.
